چکیده
: This study was designed to evaluate and compare differences between Goldmann applanation tonometer’s (GAT) values non-contact (NCT) In various central corneal thickness(CCT). prospective of 100 eyes 50 subjects done for the age group 25 yrs – 75 yrs, who did not have any glaucomatous changes in optic disc. Intraocular pressure readings were taken by GAT NCT measured within a fixed time range 10:00 AM 1:00 PM minimize effect diurnal variation. CCT NIDEK 530P while performed Appasamy ref AATM-K001 after 20 minutes recorded from both subjects. Then correlated with intraocular values, which obtained NCT. The data subjects, whom 24 females 26 males. mean 51.22 ± 2.7 years, value 530.6 5.7 µ. IOP respectively 15.41 0.6 mmHg, 15.11 0.5 (Table 1). shows significantly strong positive correlation (r= 0.73, P< .0001), 0.55, .0001) 2, 5 6). Pearson coefficient also (r = 0.76, .00001)(Table 3). findings our correlate earlier research. It demonstrates that, application appropriate correction factors CCT, can be considered good screening tool measuring pressure.

Comparison of intraocular pressure adjusted by central corneal thickness or corneal biomechanical properties as measured in glaucomatous eyes using noncontact tonometers and the Goldmann applanation tonometer
PURPOSE To investigate the correlation coefficients between intraocular pressure (IOP) before and after adjusting for central corneal thickness (CCT) and corneal biomechanical properties. PATIENTS AND METHODS A total of 218 eyes of 218 patients with primary open-angle glaucoma (mean age =71.5 years; mean spherical equivalent =-0.51 D; mean deviation determined by Humphrey visual field analyze...
متن کاملcomparison of intraocular pressure measurement with the noncontact pulsair 3000 tonometer and goldmann applanation tonometer
purpose: to compare intraocular pressure (iop) measurement with pulsair non-contact tonometer and goldmann applanation tonometer (gat). methods: in this cross-sectional study, during a complete ophthalmologic examination, each patient underwent pulsair tonometry three times at 5 minutes intervals and then goldmann tonometry at the same intervals. mean iop values were measured and analyzed. resu...
متن کاملClinical comparison of the ProTon and Tono-Pen tonometers with the Goldmann applanation tonometer.
A clinical evaluation of a new electron ProTon tonometer was performed comparing the values of intraocular pressure (IOP) measured using this instrument with those determined by a similar instrument, Tono-Pen XL, and by Goldmann applanation tonometry. The mean IOP measured in 106 eyes with the ProTon tonometer was not significantly different from that determined with Goldmann applanation, while...
متن کاملComparison of intraocular pressure measurements with the portable PT100 noncontact tonometer and goldmann applanation tonometry
PURPOSE Noncontact tonometers are useful when regulations preclude use of contact tonometers by medical students and other nonophthalmologists. Our study compared the measurements by the portable, noncontact tonometer (PT100) with Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT). METHODS This was a prospective study of 98 eyes from 98 patients. Intraocular pressure (IOP) was measured by GAT and the PT100...
متن کاملClinical comparison of the Icare tonometer and Goldmann applanation tonometry.
PURPOSE To compare a new method of intraocular pressure (IOP) measurement, using the Icare tonometer, with Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT). PATIENTS AND METHODS Two observers obtained IOP readings in 292 eyes (143 right and 149 left) of 153 subjects, using the Icare without topical anesthetic. A GAT reading was subsequently obtained by a consultant ophthalmologist, without the knowledge ...
